Senior Investment Associate

Alex joined Otsuka in 2023 to support the research and investment activities of ONCE Ventures. Alex began his career at Cascadia Capital, an investment bank in Seattle, where he focused on M&A and Growth Capital financings for clients in Healthcare and Software. Alex also spent time in the food and beverage industry, gaining experience in sales and operations for a national importer and distributor of French wines. Prior to joining Otsuka, Alex worked for Integrated, a venture fund focused on health and wellbeing. Alex is a graduate of the University of Washington, Seattle with a BA in Business Administration with a concentration in Finance.

What’s your favorite wellness activity?

Anything I can do with friends! During the week that is usually running or working out, but I love to ski, golf, and play volleyball as well.

What are you happiest doing when you’re not working?

Traveling. My parents both grew up in other countries, so I had the privilege of traveling often as I grew up. I’ve continued to search for new places to visit, whether it is to ski, relax, or explore.

What does health mean to you?

Health means making choices and living a lifestyle that leads to feeling great every day. Sleeping well, eating right, moving plenty, and thinking clearly & positively.
